Wally the Narhwal
Wally was a normal narwhal except for one thing, he could talk. Not the regular narwhal sounds, noises or songs, but actual words. The first time Wally tried to talk to a human she got scared and passed out. So Wally mostly kept quiet as to not scare anyone. Most of the humans that come to the arctic don’t stay long anyway. The humans come to explore or sight see sometimes they come for research. They don’t stay long though, not until Lily and her parents showed up.

Not What It Seems
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Everyone in the village of Pallaton was enchanted by the sight. The villagers would dance under the clouds and celebrate their arrival. They all thought it was magical, a gift to bring in the new day. What they didn’t know was that these clouds meant extinction.

Dogs Tale
Man’s best friend is how the saying goes but shouldn’t it be human’s best friend. Dogs have been around for a long time and everyone has a dog story. Some stories are happy, some emotional, and some bad. Dogs can be playful, protective, funny and yes even aggressive but most of the time they are loving. Growing up I had some pets and most were dogs. Sadly those dogs are no longer with us but they will always be a part of me. So instead of telling one story about a dog, I am going to tell several stories about several dogs.

Screams in Space
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I, on the other hand, have heard plenty of screams. My name is Lieutenant Yatri Selene and I was born to explore space. From the time I was four years old I have been training to travel through space. Then again both my parents are astronauts so it’s genetic and in the blood. I have had other opportunities if I wanted but I always came back to space. I got accepted to join the first team of new space explorers. We are going to venture beyond what prevsiously was explored to see what is out there.

The weaponized Train
The wind blew the swings ever so slightly causing them to move back and forth and squeak, like there was an unseen being playing. I looked around the playground for any signs of the targets. So far it was all clear then again I was early. I liked to scope out my surroundings to find weak and strong points in the area. There were a few good places to hide so I made a mental note of them. Then I heard the sound. A low whistle sound, I’ve heard it before but couldn’t remember when or what it was. I looked around trying to find the source but then I faded into darkness.

Fathers
You ever listen to a song and hear it? Actually hear it like having the words speak to you. Having the words relate to the situation you are in and finally giving you clarity. You may have heard the song before, sang along to it and even interpret differently but this time you needed it most. You needed to hear it, you needed to listen. Now I know what you are thinking “how does this relate to fathers or stories of my father” well I’m getting there. Songs have a way to bring people together or tear them apart. Songs have ways of reaching people in certain ways for instance there is a song called “Piece by Piece” by Kelly Clarkson. The song is about the singer being left by her father and having her significant other pick up the pieces and show her what a father can be to their own children. Most people see the song that way. Others have grandfathers, stepfathers, or other father figures that they relate the song too. For me though I heard something else…
