Bio
I have internally decided that I am a writer. Since that decision was made, the voice in my head has changed. It’s become louder as it begs to be released.

Corsets and Gold: The Life of a Soiled Dove. Content Warning.
This corset is too tight. Every pull of these strings intended to cinch my waist and enhance my breasts is instead crushing my already bruised ribs and reminding me of being handled too roughly by Jeremiah. I’d like to say that he didn’t mean to do it, but he’s just another drunk cowboy lost amongst all the other downtrodden faces that have been let loose upon this dusty and dirty town of lost hopes and dreams. A town with more swindlers and conmen than there are bottles of liquor and gold in the stream.

The Great Heist of 1985
Jessica and Kara knew that being accepted by the 8th grade “cool” girls before the start of Junior High would be their ticket to popularity. To prove themselves, they endured a summer full of dares. Finally, their last dare had been set; steal as much candy as possible from Fitzgerald’s Pharmacy without getting caught.

With Music by My Side
Without a doubt, music is a powerful force in most people’s lives. The emotions, images, and memories that a perfectly written set of words paired with the right rhythm can evoke is astounding. What’s even more interesting is that the internal experience of a song can be different for everyone. A song that might resonate sadness within me, might be interpreted as strong and empowering for you. Some people might pay attention to the lyrics and dissect their personal meaning as though the lyricist wrote those specific words just for them. Another person might listen to the heaviness of the bass or the tempo of the electric guitar and find their connection with the song there. In all honesty, I really hadn’t thought much about how important music really was to me in this context until I started writing this. It’s like a long overdue visit with the best friend that I took for granted because I didn’t really stop to think about all the amazing memories and good times she was there for or all the times that she helped pick me back up from my lowest points and inspired me to move on stronger.

The Newbies
The group of six gathered around a large oak table. Displayed before them in the center of the table were five objects, a gray feather, a lotus flower, a lantern, a camera, and a horseshoe. For hours the attendees argued over which object they wanted and why they wanted that particular item. None of them were allowed to touch the objects, so until they had been assigned one and held it in their hands, assumptions regarding what these objects were really for were all they had.

When Planets Collide
Jennifer arrived at the condo that she and her husband Elliot had rented on Airbnb promptly at 4:00. Since it was a Friday and her boss was aware of her plans for the weekend, she was able to get out a little early. Elliot, on the other hand, was not as fortunate and wouldn’t be arriving for a few more hours. Jennifer didn’t mind though. She still had some time before she needed to get ready for dinner, so relaxing on the balcony that overlooked the pristine beach twelve stories below sounded like a perfect way to waste some time.

The Innocence of Childhood
When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a princess. I know, it's cliché, since most little girls at some point in their lives have probably wanted to be a princess too. The princesses depicted in the Disney movies that most of us grew up with were beautiful. They had beautiful hair, perfect skin, big bright eyes and of course they wore the most magical and beautiful flowing gowns. I’m sure many of us twirled around in pretend princess dresses and loved it, but none of these were the real reasons I wanted to be a princess.
