Painting You a Soul

A Poem: Rainbow Eucalyptus

By Adonide BonesPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

A stroke of red

Was what he spread

His wrist flicking to the left

To complete the rest

Of a painting so divine

One could have drowned in the sublime

He stared at your damaged bark

Gazing into your lifeless soul, a spark

Blue, red, orange, and green

On a tall, crooked tree

That was once broken and withered

From a world so cold and bitter

But with life’s layers of rainbows

You are a seed of magic waiting to grow

I absolutely love this! What I take from it is that, "the damaged bark" is a person with untapped potential or maybe someone extremely damaged. Anyone can mold and help others grow to their full potential (layers of rainbows) or treat them kindly and love them for who they are. It shows that we can we can find light out of anything if we cherish and love and believe in others if we just simply take the time to see them and work with them.
