Lonely Together
A Poem
I realise now
that it is hopeless to seek comfort in you,
seek company within you,
when you are just as lonely as I.
You do not do many things well,
but you sure can lie.
I thought that all of these people adored you
and spent time with you because
you are happy and
you are fun.
What a beautiful web you have spun, my love.
I realise now
that you seek validation in others
just as I do.
And you, too, need people near.
Only you do not care who.
I see you as you are,
without the bright lights and the facade.
It is okay,
we can be lonely together, my love.

Who knew loneliness and togetherness could blend so beautifully in poetry? Reading Abraham Verninac's piece on being 'Lonely Together' felt like a deep dive into the complexities of human connection. It's like commiserating with a friend over a pint of ice cream – comforting yet cathartic. Just like this article, we all feel a little less lonely together.
Beautifully sad and poetic writing. The book must be great. True, like souls may find comfort in each other. Congrats on TS.
This poem by Laurine perfectly captures the paradox of feeling lonely while surrounded by others. It's like being the only one at a party who hates pizza - you're there, but you'd rather be somewhere else. Laurine's words paint a vivid picture of this relatable struggle. Lonely together, indeed!
I absolutely loved reading Hector's article on being "lonely together." It's like getting stuck in a crowded elevator with your best buddy - awkward yet strangely comforting! Hector's poetic musings on shared solitude hit me right in the feels. Who knew loneliness could feel so strangely...unlonely? Keep on writing, Hector!
This article on being lonely together is a must-read for anyone craving both solitude and connection. Max really hit the nail on the head with this one, capturing the essence of shared isolation in a beautifully poetic way. It's like they say, sometimes the best company is yourself and a good piece of writing!
Hey there, Aymeric's poetic journey in "Lonely Together" truly resonates with my soul - it's as if my heart whispered to me in rhymes! The portrayal of loneliness as a shared experience is hilariously comforting; maybe we're all just a bunch of introverted extroverts navigating life together in solitude. Brilliant piece!
This article by Katerina is like a warm hug on a cold day, reminding us that even in loneliness, we are never truly alone. It's like finding an unexpected friend in a crowded room. So, grab a cozy blanket, settle in, and read it - you might just find yourself feeling lonely together too!
This is heartbreaking and well-written.
