I wish I can hide in the folds of dough
as you knead it into bread,
or out the window by the clouds of flour
spreading over your head.
I wish I can be an egg that disintegrates
when mixed by your warm gentle touch,
or hide in the oven's heated place
that will turn me into mush.
I wish I can hide in the folds of your dishtowel
as you throw it over your shoulder,
or in the red checkered oven mittens
where no one would search or wonder.
I wish I can hide, Oh I wish I can hide
behind any of those cabinet doors
maybe the pantry or broom closet
or best beneath the tiled kitchen floors.

My favourite kind of poems just flow so nicely, and this one I couldn't keep my eyes off, excellently written and created! I could picture each line!
This poem gives off a 'wishful thinking' feel. Love it. Sometimes I think hiding is better but unfortunately can't do so. This poem is beautifully crafted. Love it.
Lovely as always, your nostalgic and wistful offerings are a wonder to read. Congrts on TS.
Hiding wishes behind typos, a relatable struggle for all clumsy typists out there! But hey, at least the author T. has a good sense of humor about it, adding an extra layer of charm to the reading experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the article and it made me chuckle - a typo-tastic masterpiece!
Nice post✨
Hiding might seem like a good idea, especially when deadlines are looming or your inbox is overflowing. But hey, we've all been there! Just remember, you can't hide forever. Embrace the chaos, tackle it head-on like a warrior poet! Nice work, T., give those hiding spots a run for their money!
You paint such a setting with your words here! Amazing work!
Oh, Hector really knows how to tug at our heartstrings with his poem on hiding! We've all wished to disappear at some point – usually when the alarm clock goes off on Mondays! But hey, Hector's words make hiding seem poetic. Keep shining, Hector! Your words are like a brilliant beacon in the darkness.
Beautifully written and deeply evocative, T. Licht! Your imagery brings a sense of warmth and longing that's truly captivating. Well done!
My mum bakes a lot. I get the idea of comfort from this, also transformation and insecurity.
Ah, the struggle of wishing we could hide from life's chaos like a ninja in plain sight! This article by Abraham Verninac encapsulates the universal desire for a quick disappearing act. With vivid imagery and relatable sentiments, it's a delightful read that makes you want to grab a cloak and vanish into thin air!
Ah, the eternal struggle of wanting to hide like a hermit crab in a crowded room! T. really nailed it in their article 'I Whish I Can Hide' - we've all had those moments of wishing for invisibility. It's like trying to disappear when you see your ex at the supermarket. Bravo, T.!
Congratulations 🎉.A favourite tag for your writing 😊.
Aymeric's poetic piece "I Wish I Can Hide" hit me right in the feels. It's like trying to sneakily eat dessert while on a diet—impossible yet tempting! His words beautifully capture the desire to disappear, but hey, we can't hide forever, right? Keep writing, Aymeric, your words are like a hidden gem!
amazing i like it
Such escapism! Loved the tone of this one. 😊👏
It's always a desire to find peace in the present moment and escape the pressures and uncertainties of the world around us.
Nice job! I so know that feeling.
Oh no, not beneath the tiled floor! In the cupboard maybe. Interesting poem bringing up lots of interest in the hiding and who it is - a love poem? or a frightened person wanting the baker to hide them....
