The Star Sovereign

A Poem

By Adonide BonesPublished 29 days ago Updated 28 days ago 1 min read

Greetings to the One with dark, flowing curls.

A galaxy stitched on my dress unfurls.

Stars help you escape, their light guiding,

Scorching my skin, my bones, heart shining.

Does the moon not lead you at night?

Such is the crescent, calming a noose so tight!

Releasing your soul, breathing new life.

As fire runs through veins, breaking strife.

Awaken, you mustn’t, lest the fantasy be slain!

No longer in a trance, I’d sink into the mundane.

So, under the stars, you’ll dance and spin.

Under the moon, my beloved kingdom, I’ll sing.

The dreamy, night sky, your eternal domain.

In our starry mind, let us burn as I reign.
