Colour me turquoise, I’ll weep the sky blue,

Brush me with stardust, a silvery hue,

Colour me green, like a forest serene,

Blend it with innocence, lost at sixteen...

Colour me indigo, like midnight’s sky,

Paint me black feathers and wings to fly

Colour me yellow, like dawn’s rising sun,

I’ll brighten your day, my precious one...

Colour me wondrous, with orange hues,

I'll paint thee a diamond with freshly born dew

Dust me with pink on my tear-stained cheeks,

Sprinkled with silver and golden mystique...

Colour my dreams with tangerine wishes,

I’ll colour thee red, with soft crimson kisses

My heartbeats like purple in lavender fields,

Hungering for answers, time may reveal...

We are life’s rainbows, the promise of hope,

Once, in the darkness, struggling to cope

We’re like seasons, we come and we go,

To die in love’s arms and bask in the glow…
