Can you change your sleep schedule?
Here we see an early bird and a night owl in their natural habitats. The early bird rises with the sun, springing out of bed abuzz with energy. As the day goes on, they slowly get more and more exhausted until finally crashing around sunset. Meanwhile, the night owl rises long after the sun, stumbling groggily from their bed. After about 30 minutes—or a cup of coffee—they begin to come to life. But they don’t really hit their stride until later in the day, at which point they comfortably coast past sunset, only heading to bed in the early hours of the morning. For many, this is a familiar story and one that’s easy to cast yourself in. But how many people are truly night owls or early birds? And are our natural sleep schedules predetermined at birth, or can we change them?

Unpacking Social Norms: From Handshakes to Birthday Celebrations
The Irregularity of "Don't Tear down the Dead" The well established proverb "Don't criticize the dead" is regularly promoted as a characteristic of regard for the individuals who have died. Nonetheless, this standard is frequently applied conflictingly. For example, while society denounces figures like Hitler decisively, it avoids scrutinizing less all around berated people. This specific application uncovers that the standard is more about private inclinations than an objective norm of regard for the departed.

Things to Know About Taking Testosterone
Happy Pride Month! Pride has a long and rich history, following the Stonewall riots in 1968 but beginning in many smaller moments earlier than this. We have a lot of people and populations to thank for their fight and sacrifices to be where we are today, and have a lot of work to continue doing. Talking about Pride month is an entire post in and of itself (and while I’d be honoured to write about it, I know for a fact there are other voices that need to be amplified over mine - I’ll be linking a few great resources at the end here).
