My Review of "A Quiet Place: Day One"
A Quiet Place: Day One has just released in theatres. It is one of my hotly anticipated movies of the year. I loved the first two movies and I couldn't say no to seeing this movie right away in the theatres. One of the biggest draws is partly the audience ambiance when the intensity of the movie goes up. This movie is a lot of fun but there are certainly a ton of distractions as well.

Eddie Murphy is BACK reprising his role as wisecracking cop, Axel Foley, heading back to Cali once again. This time, it’s not only to arrest some bad guys but to bring some prestige back to the “BHC” franchise and rid himself of that awful stench from the last film.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis
Published on the 16th of October, 1950, ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ was written by CS Lewis and illustrated by Pauline Baynes who would also illustrate for JRR Tolkien. The first of the series to be written but noted as the second in the series, this book is the most library-held novel by the author and has since become a staple children’s classic, still studied in many schools today (I should know, I continue to teach it).

A Quiet Place: Day One Movie Review
Back in 2018, A Quiet Place was released to high acclaim; it was a nail-biting thriller that did more with less. Following a 2021 sequel, the series is branching off in different directions with A Quiet Place: Day One. If you can put up with a fairly standard opening act, this third entry will offer the same tension against a standalone story.
