Power Rangers Review: "Day of the Dumpster"
You know, I've been a hardcore Power Rangers fan since the franchise started all the way back in 1993. The series is still going on strong even now with its many incarnations, though like many fans, I often tend to look back at the classic episodes from the early years. I have written a few Power Rangers related stories on here, and I've been planning to write some episodic reviews for a long while now. It wouldn't be literally every episode, just the ones that stand out the most and feature some of the most historic moments.

Delicious in Dungeon
As you might know I am still getting into anime. It's not something I watch often because I hate English dubs and I like to multi-task which I can’t do when I have to read the screen. That said, I have been watching some of the anime available on Netflix and I stumbled upon one called Delicious in Dungeon. I fell in love with it immediately and proceeded to binge watch 24 episodes in 2 days. The show is a delightful blend of dungeons and dragons and a cooking show. It’s funny, smart, creative and I truly cannot recommend it enough. So if you are also an anime novice I think that this show is a really good place to start, it's short, it's fun and unlike some of the other ones I recommended for beginners it doesn’t get too intense.

House of the Dragon
House of the Dragon season 2, episode 3. This is where the internet (at least the side of it that has read Fire and Blood) believes that Rhaenys is going to die. That said, the last episode really didn’t do much to progress the actual war part of this war so I suppose we will see. Honestly I think what made Game of Thrones so compelling was the political conversations and moves being made, that occasionally led to battle. But House of the Dragon really isn’t doing much of either. They seem to be spending more time on the interpersonal relationships of each side which were not relevant parts of the book at all. Alicent isn’t even mentioned for like 100 pages of the dance so why am I seeing her so much? Anyway just further proof that the writing team doesn’t understand their source material.

Book Review: "Byron: A Life in Ten Letters" by Andrew Stauffer
If you know me then you know that Lord Byron is one of my favourite poets of all time. Actually, if I think about it, he is my favourite poet of all time (I see you, John Keats and I'm sorry). Since 2024 is the 200th anniversary of the death of Lord Byron it is only apt to release a stunning new biography that gives us all of the stories we know and love from his life. In this book, the author chooses from the thousands of letters Byron sent to give us ten that might let us into the life of the poet more than any of the others. I would like to know how he choose said letters because honestly, I would not be able to choose ten. This book is absolutely fantastic and is by someone who has a genius level of intellect on the poet Lord Byron.

My Review of "American Ninja Warrior: Couples Championship 2024"
American Ninja Warrior: Couples Championship 2024 has finished. Again I'm late to the game. It was another entertaining episode but I kind of remember why these are somewhat forgettable but fun episodes. There's highs and lows to this but it also feels like a whole season all wrapped up into one episode.

'House of the Dragon': Aegon's Destruction Of His Father's Model City Foreshadows A Growing Problem For The Targaryen Dynasty
WARNING! SPOILERS for House of the Dragon 2x02, 'Rhaenyra the Cruel'. Early in 'Rhaenyra the Cruel', the second episode of House of the Dragon's second season, we see King Aegon II, mad with grief over the death of his young son Jaehaerys, destroy a model city belonging to his late Father, King Viserys. Though not a sympathetic character, Aegon's grief over his son's death is understandable. Still, many fans were upset at the destruction of Viserys's treasured model.

Beneath the Surface
Certainly! Here's a story titled "Beneath the Surface": --- In the quiet town of Crestview, nestled beneath the shadow of towering mountains, there was a lake known only as Stillwater. Its name derived from the eerie calmness that perpetually hung over its surface, reflecting the sky like a flawless mirror. Locals spoke of its mysterious depths, where legends whispered of forgotten treasures and dark secrets. Among the townsfolk, young Sarah had always been drawn to its tranquil allure.

Book Review: "Bullshit Jobs" by David Graeber
My brother recommended that I read a book called Bullshit Jobs because I might enjoy what it had to say. Now, I have been focusing on reading more nonfiction but I do feel like ever since I read a book called May Contain Lies by Alex Edmans, I have been putting everyone's research methods under the microscope. So even though I enjoyed what the book was about and its clear witty examples and anecdotes, the evidence that it is based on is shaky at best. If I could not use 'trust me bro' as a source at university, then people actually in research shouldn't be able to do it either. Bullshit Jobs is a book which is a great example of good writing and bad research compiled together to make something quite extraordinary: a nonfiction book you probably shouldn't take too seriously.

A Treachery to the Faithful . Content Warning.
The Roman Catholic Church is one of the oldest institutions in history. It is an ancient organization that has preserved itself through layers of secrecy, holy rituals, and worldwide acceptance of Catholic doctrine. It is this faith that wills this system to outlast the lives of all their believers, thus, clearly showing the power of collective faith and belief. But this power, this trust, was immensely and systematically abused, betraying a billion people all believing and relying in this religion. The Boston Globe revealed a major discrepancy that exploded into a major scandal that shook the long-standing beliefs of Catholics right down to its cultural core.
