Henry VII - Your Next History Lesson...
To What Extent Did Henry VII Initiate a New Approach to Kingship? Kingship, the essence of a ruler and having âan aptitude for kingly duties,â seems to fit with the image of Henry VII, through his new approaches. For example: the creation of the Star Chamber, aiding England to stay on her feet, bringing about the rise of the Tudor state since the fall of Richard III. Although it could also be argued that these apparent ânew approachesâ were not unique to the Tudor king, âthe rise of the Tudor state, itself, implies that something new had been created, either from nothing or from the ruins of something that had earlier fallen,â and such âinitiationsâ carried out, much like replacing the Exchequer and keeping the money in his own chambers, was similar to Edward IV - showing a lack of new approaches to the system.

A Very Poor Attempt to Make Someone Smile - Amanda Abbington Edition
We all have people who we consider to be highly inspirational and influential to look upon, and in my case, my idol (the ultra talented, gorgeous woman that is Amanda Abbington) is an excellent example of these characteristics. Sheâs an extraordinary person in my life, because of her enduring strength that I dearly admire, and she is also kind, as well as supportive. One thing I most admire about her, is her strength, which is ever-present, even through hard times. A single mother, who still managed to raise two wonderful children, despite holding down an often demanding job. Her children are an absolute credit to her; just one example of how incredible she is.

Editorial Report â A Haunted House. Virginia Woolf. 1921
Virginia Woolfâs 1921 shorty story - A Haunted House, is a well written ghost story, with a strong central theme. Whilst it is not gothic, it is clear that the piece has been influenced by Poe, with Woolfâs use of poetic devices and descriptions. This is a perfect example of how Woolf has tried to experiment with genre expectations, whilst not deviating much from her central plot. The themes of love, loss, struggle and connection are explored well in this short story, with a twist on the âghost storyâ genre.

Trying To Earn Money On Vocal
Like many students, I'm very low on money. Before Covid hit, I was working every spare hour I had - which often meant I was trying to complete assignments at stupid o'clock in the morning. So, I thought I'd join Vocal. I knew it wouldn't earn me hundreds or I'd be able to pack up my job and live off my earnings from this, but I didn't expect to earn just over $1 for a year. That's awful! I'm so disheartened and honestly, quite angry.

Heading Back To School? Here's Some History Help...
I remember going back to school one year, and I loved history. It was my favourite subject and I had the best teacher. I was always top of the class and never got anything below an A. BUT, then we started doing the Cold War and Stalin and my brain had a bit of a meldown. Of course, I eventually got my head around it all and I was fine, but I looked all over the internet to help me learn extra outside of class. So, I thought I'd share a mini exam question answer that I wrote and got the teacher to check.

Reflection
I'm a writer by trade. It's literally my job to write films and stuff for television. I know many writers that have said that COVID lockdown, has done wonders for their writing life. They've written more than they have in years. Well... lucky them. If anything, lockdown has had the complete opposite effect on me. I've hardly written a thing.
