Growing Up In Australia
In the quiet hours of dawn, when the world was still wrapped in a soft, hazy embrace. I found myself tracing the lines of my grandfather’s face in the tattered, monochrome photographs that perfectly encapsulate a treasured moment. Forever held in time. Loved and cherished. Each crease and curve told a story of resilience, of a life lived with unwavering determination. Each warm smile was a sanctuary. A home away from home, etched deeply into the fibres of my soul.

Utopia Is Unachievable
In Lois Lowry's The Giver, the pursuit of perfection leads to the revelation that by creating a seemingly utopian world by eliminating suffering, more is lost than gained. The narrative traces the experiences of a twelve year-old protagonist who seeks to overcome the control imposed upon him by his totalitarian government and bring back the vibrancy and uniqueness that once existed. By trying to pursue such Utopian ideals, their society is stripped of diversity and individuality. Similarly, Lowry depicts a world that is heavily monitored and regulated. All the citizens are easily manipulated and conform to the numerous rules that they are presented with. Whilst majority of the community is oblivious to the sinister side of their seemingly utopian world, the protagonist has access to memories of the past and is faced with immense pain and the deep knowledge of their dystopian world.

A Dream, Right?
**Chapter One ~ A dream, right?** Finally, Sunday was here! I quickly kicked the huge covers of my bed off me and got up expecting to see my old, dirty rubbish dump-like bedroom. What I saw instead, flabbergasted me! My room was huge! With a king sized bed and a huge closet next to a glamorous study table next to a… recording studio? “Eh” I said, and shrugged it off. “I’m probably dreaming”. I walked towards my seemingly huge closet and pulled out the first thing that came into my hand. When I looked at it, I nearly fainted! It was a long pink gown with sequins all over it. “Eugh! Where in the world did this come from?” I muttered, exasperated that I couldn’t find my regular oversized tee and denim shorts. “Muuuum!!” I shouted. I waited… And Waited… and waited. Finally, the door to my room opened “Mum have you seen my t— Aaah! Who are you? What are you doing in my house?” The person standing at my door was definitely not my mum! She was dressed in a black frilly dress and wore a white apron on top. “My name is Elodie, ma’am— uh sorry, your highness, very pleased to make your acquaintance. I am your personal chambermaid and am here to help you with anything you need. Do you require my assistance, Your highness?”

Are School Uniforms Necessary Or Not?
Are School Uniforms Necessary Or Not? It has long been debated whether school uniforms are really necessary or not. While some say that they are absolutely useless, others say that they are an absolute must in every school. Some reasons they are necessary are that they make sure students don’t get distracted, or bully others. Some reasons they are unneeded are that they are unreasonably expensive, not great quality and sometimes too demanding. In this essay I will be discussing whether I think they are necessary or not.

Salvatores - A short Story
Salvatores Prologue: I awoke to see the sunrise. I gazed at the blushing sky whilst the sun’s light blossomed, the rays dancing on the lush green hills of the valley below. As I breathed in the fresh morning air, I felt a sense of excitement, a tingle inside me, as if my life was about to change forever. As if something was going to happen to me which would whisk me away to a different world, a chance to leave my old life behind.

Charity Is For a Good Cause
Charity Is For A Good Cause We are very lucky to have a home, have a family, go to school or work and to have food and water on the table every day. But we mustn’t forget, some people aren’t as lucky as us, and need donations and charity to survive. That is where we come in. When we don't need something anymore, why not donate it to a local charity instead of binning it? In this essay I will cover three reasons more people should donate to charities. Such as: donating makes you feel good, donating increases personal morals and values, and donating encourages others to do the same.

End Violence Against Animals
End Violence Against Animals Every time you go to watch a horse race, the aquarium, the circus, or even the zoo, you are becoming part of a huge mistake made by humanity. Abuse of animals. Just because we are the most advanced species on Earth, we simply cannot forget, we aren’t the only species on Earth. The animals we capture and use for entertainment and pleasure are being deprived everyday of their freedom and happiness. They are separated from their families, tortured and abused, and even shut up in cages barely big enough for them. In this essay I will be explaining why using animals for our entertainment is cruel and must be banned.
