Politics does not dictate our collective cultural mindset as much as it simply reflects it; We've got to look in the mirror sometimes, and we've got one.
The Call to Action: Why the World Has to Stand by Ukraine
At the very core of Eastern Europe, a struggle rages that transcends across borders and ideologies. Ukraine is an independent country with an aspiration to be democratic, severely under attack and harrowing intimidation from its formidable neighbor, Russia. This conflict does not concern municipal disputes or political differences; rather, it is a frontline struggle for freedom, sovereignty, and global stability. With the world as witness, the stakes are quite plain: if we allow Ukraine to fall, Russia's ambitions will not end there. It will have far-reaching repercussions, threatening the peace and security of the entire world.

I think I may have to vote
I wasn't upset when they told me that I couldn't vote anymore. I didn't want to go through the red tape to reinstate my voting privilege. I figured there's no way to ever vote for the right person, and I don't trust the voting system anyway. I've had my opinions about my country, the structure, principles, constitution, legislation, and history. I've been watching things change since the Reagan administration. I could recap all the follies of every Presidency I've endured since 1971. But I won't waste your time with my skewed historical summary. Instead, I will just say that of the three "taboos" (sex, religion, and politics) Americans seem quite satisfied taking on religion and politics, but they are still the most hush hush and hypocritical when it comes to sex.

What Do Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Supreme Court Have in Common?
The other day a couple of the people who represent the Jehovah’s Witness door-knockers and paper propaganda distribution detail stopped by to talk at me. I don’t mind that they come visit because they are well-meaning and what they never consider is entertaining to explore with them. They’re always concerned for my spiritual health and well-being but I can never help but notice they are infatuated with the actual words they read. They like them words a bunch, but they don’t care for the abstractions the words represent.

We Salute You EPD 🖕🏻
First off, let’s talk about Ephrata’s finest and their knack for showing up fashionably late to every shindig. Remember that time the raccoon broke into the local bakery and stole all the éclairs? Neither do they, because by the time they arrived, the raccoon had already moved on to a new career as a social media influencer. Honestly, if you’re planning a heist in Ephrata, just send the EPD an invitation—include an RSVP with a suggested time of arrival about two hours after you’ve made your getaway.

What A Farce ;)
Picture this: Ephrata, Pennsylvania—a quaint little town known for its rolling hills, charming shops, and, apparently, its police department's knack for costing a fortune while doing squat. Now, I’m not saying that Ephrata Police Department is a total farce, but let’s just say if I wasn’t already #DefundThePolice, I’d be demanding a refund faster than you can say “property tax.”

Ephrata Police Department: Protect and Serve... Themselves?
Ah, Ephrata. A town where the mission of the local police department reads like it was plagiarized from a superhero comic book but delivered with the finesse of a second-rate sitcom. Let’s dive into the absurdity of their actions and see just how well they live up to their lofty promises.

Ain’t Nobody’s Business if You Do
There’s been something in the news that has been wondering me mightily for a few days now. I can kind of understand the extreme right-wing anti-abortion segment of the population from the point of view that they think they are morally obligated to mind someone else’s business, just not their own. I can even kind of understand why they would think abortion is a sin. But then something else keeps pushing into those thoughts. Why would anyone want to control contraception? What would be the motivation? Then another thought pushes in. Why would the state, any state, want to monitor pregnancies? I don’t know that I have any answers, but I have a few observations which might aid someone else in finding answers for themselves.
