Flake by flake, the clouds fall and settle

Boughs bow, heavily laden and opulent

Showcases of earthly-bound frost

We're snowed in... Yippie!

Crags and cliffs grow on branches

Steep castles and castly steeples

Luxuriant, downy soft cotton

Wonderland

Delicate and fragile, flakes stick together

Many hours and they relentlessly drop

Embracing time in its blanket

Cat is hiding from the pigeons

What is beauty?

If not the time to absorb

Clouds silently and calmly

Spend the day falling for you...

Now, that is love!

About the Creator

Eugenette Morin

I enjoy short stories with a twist, long stories that meander; little snippets that create poems.

I've been writing for a long time, but it's always been left dormant in a notebook.

So now's the time to see if I should take it out.
