The dew that covers the dawn is grinning.

The weeping roses; behold, the tiny lovers who kiss the buds; all the flutterings

White wings in privet and jasmine blossom that go and come, fly, peek, and conceal

whispered widely, to muted music.

Ah, springtime, when we recall all the letters that adoring lovers send to adoring mays.

Of the kind hearts confined to a billet,

The smooth silk paper that pens wrapped was all the best.

The love notes that people write on paper

ecstatic and intoxicated with joy,

Prior to May, this article was written in April.

Toys that have been shredded and flown are for the wind's amusement.

We imagine that all of the white butterflies above are searching in the sky or the ocean.

souls to love, and depart, leaving their lady mistress desolate.

Flying to flowers would be kinder and more equitable.

Are merely ripped love letters that flutter, float, and transform into butterflies as they pass over the air.
