rainbow

(stepping)

By Sara Published 2 months ago 1 min read

you have to step on the rainbows.

there are Pomeranians in the car dealership.

some days the sky is open.

winds can also make a wish

say the half blown dandelions.

i think on a real narrow ledge

because i need to know

if i can be.

i pick purple flowers

to pick them apart.

i drink coffee in the morning

in the middle of the day, and at night.

why do cafes close so early?

i think i like him.

remember that the sentence

starts with i.

at the end of the day

it’s you running toward sunset.

step on the rainbows.

First, I love your profile. Be love! Yes! Second, I love this quirky, interesting, anything but straight forward poem. In particular I love these two bits: "winds can also make a wish say the half blown dandelions" and "i think on a real narrow ledge because i need to know if i can be." Moving, powerful, and thought-provoking.

Fascinating poem. Really does feel like reading the different colours of the rainbow. Well done!
