My friend, please go home.
I’d show them the whole place I home.
Hello! Welcome to my home.
We call this rock earth; now let us roam.
There’s a lot to show you, my friend.
Before your trip comes to an end.
You see, this place is consumed by money
We’re like bees, all making honey.
Truly just trying to stay alive.
And not get kicked from the hive.
Our homes and work are squished together.
And they lie and say it’s for the better.
They’ll ban and burn every book
And over price the food we cook.
Our child all go into debit
Their education their biggest regret.
We put our elders into big homes
To be forgotten like catacombs.
Every summer the forest is consumed by fires
And every winter we can’t afford new tires.
Gases and chemicals escape into the air.
And we never treat others very fair.
I know everyone has been showing you beauty
But I have not heart to lie to such a cutie.
You may be so excited by the shine new things
But our home is on broken wings
I wish I could tell you in gets better
But I fear I’ll only make your eyes wetter
So for your own sake, please leave this place.
Or the rich will make you a trophy in his case!
