mostly ambiguous

like the way he loves me blue

By ⸘jason alan‽Published 2 days ago Updated a day ago 1 min read

it felt good for a minute,

before the crimson sunrise

after the calamity.

the aftermath not yet calculated

and the door slam saved for later,

when the party is over

and all the boys go home.

i walk without shame

in the dark or on the bright side.

silence sings to me in waves of orange.

all i want is a face to face the danger with that stays.

would've, could've, should've

seen the fire for it's heat

instead of the dazzling amber

beauty in the way it burns.

kiss the flame with me tonight

and i will show you another world,

only, what if it stays green?

a clear utopic vision,

mostly ambiguous,

like the way he loves me blue.

eyes on the attraction,

the main even is about to end,

while i am distracted by the sideshow.

right on time for the violet melody

to orchestrate the final act.

it's been the last time since the first,

but this time i wonder if he knows it's really over.

he detaches into the black emptiness,

farther than even third eyes can see,

so i leave a candle in the window

too close to the curtain.

by fire i purge,

bridges turned to ash behind me -

a reaction so destructive

not even a Phoenix can rise from those embers.
