Long Dark Night

Ebon melancholy fills my mind again,

Chills my blood again.

Listlessly, I gaze into the dark,

Into the flickering shadows,

Pulsating with my heart, devouring the light.

Shuddering, heaving sobs wrack my body.

Even the darkest night shall end?
