Love's Crossroads

"Now I can do nothing like this," I muttered to myself when tears overflowed my eyes. My love was in a dark place and the turmoil was weighing heavily on my heart. I truly loved my partner, but something was not right—I did not feel the love coming back.

A line of words I had read once flashed in my mind as I recalled. They insisted communication was the backbone of it all. Finally, I braced myself and decided to talk to my partner one more time, even though we had arguments in the past.

I sat down with him and, in turn, exposed my emotions. "I Love you but I don't Feel Loved back," I revealed. To my surprise, my partner also shared a thing or two. They had been causing us work stress, which driven our relationship to worsen.

When we got each other's perspective, we reinvented how everything played out. We swore that we would concentrate on the positive things that we had between us because we still loved each other. Setting boundaries was crucial. Basically, we had to learn to depend only on ourselves and to know exactly what we needed.

Regrettably, it turned out to be like that, too. It was difficult, but we knew it was time to move on. It was, however, an ending we didn't foresee, but we could tell it was the right one. It happens so often that despite the best efforts, you still cannot fix things. However, we both thought that the possibility of love was there for us.

Now, I hang on to this hope which, in turn, helps me to learn from this excursion. I think maybe there is someone out there, who is made for me.- Someone who will love me the same way I love him.
