Some nights I can’t sleep.
My mind wanders and lingers in bad places.
I grip the sheets out of fear.
Thinking of the life I want to build.
Dreaming of the day life gets easier—
Tightly clinging onto faith.
When I overthink at night,
I downplay my achievements.
The constant thoughts that
I’m not good enough—
That my body isn’t slim enough.
Insomnia visits when vibrations are low.
It comes and it goes until it knows that
its host has blossomed into a rose.
Sweet dreams—Never stop believing that
life always gets better with time.
