Forbidden Love of Angels

Stars melted on eager hearts

Gravity left them hands clasped

Under the willow tree

On the highest mountain

Where the grass whispers

And the moon calls

The night shouted distant thunder

Becoming one as the waves crashed

Timing was everything, wired the same

Crystal clear water on her lashes

The wind in her hair, under his wings

Translucent ribs, his and theirs

His heart fell as the eagles screeched

He couldn’t breathe with closed arms

He turned and left her alone

Beneath the sun rays of sunshine kisses

Knowing the night had ended

Along with their forbidden love of angels
