Empty Chair

An Inspirational Poem

This is a celebratory and joy-filled period for many, who will be spending well-deserved time with family and friends.

We take a little introspective time for family members or those whom others may, consciously or otherwise, overlook.

It's a little trying to be an empty chair at gatherings or special events. With attention being paid to others, one may as well not be present.

Everyone is an empty chair on occasion. That's the time to introspect, communicate feelings and build a little self-esteem - feelings are valid, and everyone has a place, everywhere.

Enjoy this little Butterfly Cinquain.

Empty

Chair , endless space

Thinking of ways to fill

Remind the host to fill the space

And sit

Void

Empty chair should not stay unseen

Seat at the table stays

Is there, always

To fill.

As a person who's an introvert with social annuity, I'd rather be an empty chair hehehe. Loved your poem!
