Despite your vows

You promised to be here for me.

You vowed to love me forever,

You vowed that you would be present in my life.

You vowed that you would give me the love I deserved.

You told me that I was yours

through all of your promises

despite your vows,

I am experiencing the pain.

of being abandoned.

Because you walked away

I feel lonely over the interminable evenings.

I keep crying, hoping to see you again.

Don't you see how painfully you broke my heart?

You are genuinely gone.

All those promises were lies.

How could you do that to me?

You spoke boldly, as if you meant every word.

Do you think my heart will mend?

Do you think I'll heal?

Do you think I'll forgive you?

You must understand that it won't be easy.

    Heartbroken, heartbroken!

  • This is sad.

  • My ex boyfriend did this to me. He left me despite all his promises. He broke every one of them because his mom asked him to leave me. Stupid Mommy’s Boy!
