Bring back your silver lining

When light is shining oh so bright,

I plead with you for some respite.

Still you make your wayward course,

And now you look like flying horse.

A moments grace, and then you’re gone,

Would that I knew where you were drawn,

I'd make my way within your shade,

My brilliant colors ne'er to fade.

We both know it's not to be,

I'm not for you, nor you for me.

The sky will draw you ever on,

while on the earth I do belong.

Oh cloudless day stay your hand,

unbroken light I cannot stand.
