Always

In my heart you've made your home.

Never from it must you roam.

And though now you're far away,

in my heart you may stay.

Then I woke and could not find,

Sign of you left behind.

I began to fret, where had you gone?

Is not this heart where you belong?

Behind my wisdom I did search,

Perhaps over my worry you had perched?

I could not find you with my concern,

Nor were you with all for which I yearn.

I wracked my mind with worries worst,

Planning for pain and feeling cursed,

So far away will love ever be?

My beloved is gone where I cannot see!

Then when I'd all but given up,

You stir beside me, waking up.

'Beloved, what is wrong My dear?

Why are you bothered with such fear?'

I look and see that all the while,

You were sleeping peacefully with a smile.

For in my heart you ever stay,

Even when you're far away.
