You Decide

Are we free?

The system is designed to keep us all slaves, governments around the world are sick and depraved

People who work hard and contribute, they're forgotten tossed in a heap like refuse

The poor are given what they need in exchange for a vote, an army of citizens conditioned to be told where to go

We work so hard yet are taxes are squandered, politicians living in luxury with money they've plundered

This is why the masses are depressed, its because of how far we've regressed

Born to win but conditioned to lose, politics sells us the lie and covers the truth

Keep people fighting over what will never be fixed, picking there pockets while they're shaking their fists

I pity anyone who thinks the politicians will help, I pity anyone who believes the lies that they tell

The lower and middle class really are trapped, inflation keeps rising wages are capped

These things keep us up at night, a war we are not equipped to fight

The politicians weakened us on purpose, working in the shadows while we're hating on the surface

We fall in line every time they bait the trap, fighting with each other while they rob us of our cash

left or right politicians only have one thing in mind, taking our money! What's yours and what's mine!

Please don't buy the lies, see with your heart and not with your eyes

I struggle to pay my rent and keep the lights on, While the congressmen have a fortune to bank on

I don't want a handout or welfare, I just want prices and wages to be more fair

I want to be rich enough to help a neighbor, I want to be monetarily acknowledged for my labor

For now I'm an inmate, but you better believe I won't stop searching for an escape
