A St Patrick's Valentine

Decision Day At Happy Hour

This is what I know best to do

Understanding you

Enjoying your holiday brew

Praying in the social pew

On this day for the red, orange, and green

When we go out to blow off steam

Displaying the festive dream

Hollering a healthy scream

March in orders

Taking our hypocrites to the borders

That is what I know best to do

Understanding you

Your goods and bads

What makes you sad,

Mad,

And all your favorite fads

I do listen

Honest intentions not some mission

It is what I know best to do

Understanding you

Comforting like an Irish stew

Since we met

I cannot forget

From the other side

Seeing truth and the lie

Projecting a romantic try

Every day

I must say

We wave our hands signaling hi

And in the end shake expressing goodbye

You see my dear

Bottlenecking your malted cheer

It is what I learned to do on my own

When I was alone

Getting me through

Using a powerful tool

On nasty acts that are cruel

Starting with the ears

When one approaches and is near

Heading over to the eyes

For observations which are wise

Then computing everything in the head

Digesting what others have said

Forming a conclusion

Figuring out the solution

Concerning who I am choosing

To propose

With a four leaf rose

Now it’s your turn

To express what you yearn

There is no declining

My corn beef and cabbage suitable for dining

By putting two cents into the pot

Taking a shot

Using talkative skill

After visiting the bartender’s still

And a pleasant discussion regarding the payment bill

Owed by me and you

Look that is what we all do

Make decisions

Take positions

Fix problems

Wondering if we got them

Competing as average Jane and Joes

Applying what we know

Before they tell us to go

You say neigh

I say yeigh

Both wondering when we get paid

In this communication exchange trade

Where we determine the outcome to what we say

About all we have on our agenda tray

When the snakes leave on St. Patrick’s Day

Allowing us each other to love

After approval from the Executive above

love poems
