A Carousel of Repetition
Poem from day to night and night to day
I'm Tired,
It's so dark outside,
Pushing through the yawn to hold onto the little free time there is,
My brain is buzzing,
I should really go to sleep,
Anxiety races within the reach of tomorrow,
lists forming, without the ability to achieve them,
Can I sleep, while standing up?
Do I have any snacks?
Hunger derailing decisions,
Beeping, unpleasant at any time,
Dragging myself to keep moving,
The night falls into the next day,
The next day falls into the night,
A carousel of repetition,
Prolonged screen times,
Loud overhead lights,
Time ticking by,
It's so bright,
Still tired,
I'm Alive,
