Top 10 Dumb Questions Asked By Quora Prompt Generator

Artificial stupidity?

By Trisha GauravPublished 4 months ago 3 min read

Quora is a question-and-answer platform where users can ask and answer questions on various topics. It was founded in 2009 by Adam D'Angelo and Charlie Cheever and has since grown to become one of the most popular Q&A websites on the internet. Its motto is "to share knowledge and better understand the world", but it rarely reinforces these rules. It used to have the Quora Partner Program, a service in which they paid users to ask questions on the site. It resulted in many ridiculous questions being asked on the forum. In April of 2022, the Quora Partner Program ended, and it seemed that this rein of nonsensical questions came to an end, but then they created the Quora Prompt Generator, an artificial intelligence that posts questions. Here are some of the most hilarious dum questions asked by the bot:

1. Do you think it is justifiable for an officer to use lethal force in response to being shot by a suspect?

I have nothing to add to this. Well said, Schmooly.

2. Did RoboCop have a mouth before he became a cyborg?

Damn, Quora Prompt Generator. If Murphy didn't have a mouth before he became RoboCop, don't you think that would be mentioned in the plot summary? It'd be too significant not to mention. A guy with no mouth? That's almost more interesting than a cyborg cop.

3. Are there atheist crickets?

I'm sure there are crickets more intelligent than you, Mr Quora Prompt Generator.

4. Did Al Pacino's character Tony Montana actually know Spanish or was he just pretending to be able to understand what people were saying when they spoke to him in Spanish?

I always thought Tony really understood people when they spoke to him in Spanish. But the real evidence is when Tony talks to Alberto in Spanish, showing that he does understand Alberto and is simply disobeying him. Alberto is his subordinate, so of course, he doesn't have to obey him.

5. How do tranquilizers work? Do police use the right dosage for each person?

Looks like Quora Prompt Generator watched The Naked Gun and thought it was a documentary.

6. What is the difference between a dog person and an animal person?

Unless that non-human is the Quora Prompt Generator, evidently.

7. Why does Patrick Swayze's character in Ghost call Demi Moore's character Molly instead of her real name, which is Oda Mae Brown?

No, Quora Prompt Generator. That's Whoopi Goldberg's character.

8. Why do modern-day apes still have tails if humans evolved from apes and no longer have tails?

Calling apes monkeys is common, but calling monkeys apes?

9. What would be the outcome if Scar defeated Simba in The Lion King? Would Mufasa still be alive?

Tell me you haven't seen the movie without telling me you haven't seen the movie.

10. Is it possible for a dog to hear its own name? How far away can they hear their name being called by someone other than their owner?

Did Quora Prompt Generator watch the The Simpsons' episode "Bart's Dog Gets an F" and think it was a documentary?

____________________________________________________

As we can see here, the Quora Prompt Generator is one of the most pointless things ever created as far as artificial intelligence (artificial stupidity?) goes, but it is also one of the most entertaining things that the internet has shit out. Since artificial intelligence learns from us humans, it really only reflects our stupidity as a species. So, the experiment was actually a success when you think about it - they created a bot that acts just like a human.
