A Critique Challenge Review
Galavant is the "Shrek" of the Epic Hero's Journey, except it stopped short of running the franchise into the ground.
It's extremely self-aware, knows how to keep the plot-twists coming without overdoing them, balances truly touching emotional moments with side-splitting comedy, and comes with a catchy, singalong soundtrack.
Also, eye-candy.

Gunsmoke
"Bang" 'Gunsmoke' starring James Arness as Marshall Matt Dillion. This was a television western cowboy show where the good guys won and the bad guys lost. There was Miss Kitty, Festus, Doc, Newly and before them Quint and Chester as deputies. 'Gunsmoke' was a drama but also had a lot of comedy thanks to Festus at times. There were plenty of lessons one could learn as well.

Yeah, it was funny in that ridiculous British way. My daughters put me onto it. Good review.
I do believe with all these micro-reviews, there's just too much good stuff written, in movies & on tv for me to keep up. This is another one of them. (Glad to have you admit to the eye candy. Sometimes it's the only thing going for some of the things I watch, lol.)
My son got me to watch this...I laughed. Never even thought of writing a critique about his one. well done
