I Deleted Facebook Off of My Phone For A Month - Here's How it Affected My Life
Social media has a way of taking over our daily lives. We use it to stay connected with friends, family, and coworkers; to stay in the know of news all over the world; voice our opinions, and so on. So, it definitely has its pros and cons. One of the major cons I personally have is the negativity that can come from it. People feel more powerful behind a screen, and so they speak how they want about any topic. In which then, racism; prejudice; general hatred; and comparison comes to a head. At some point, it truly begins to take a toll on someone and their mental and emotional health.

We Need to Talk... Postpartum Depression
When people imagine postpartum depression, they automatically think of all the horror stories such as mothers murdering, abusing, or neglecting their children. There’s a stereotype around postpartum depression. Women who suffer from this are afraid to speak out for fear they’ll be labeled mentally ill or be accused of hurting or mistreating their child—when that’s not the case at all. In fact, 40% of moms do not get help for their PPD. I’m here to share my story with you, and shed some light on this matter and show that PPD is very real, very scary, and doesn’t make me—or anyone suffering—a bad person.

As someone who is in their 14th week of their first pregnancy, I can readily and easily say that this has been one of the most confusing, exciting, yet terrifying and stressful times of my life. Ranging from horrible morning sickness, to only eating potatoes, to complete meltdowns over silly things, I’ve experienced quite a few things in my first trimester. Some of which, I was and was not prepared for. So, I’ve decided I’d share some of the wisdom I’ve gained in the past weeks to those who might feel just as lost as I did and still do.

Why I Decided to Become a Teacher
We are running out of teachers. Good, passionate, serious teachers. Either they’re simply growing older and caring less or the younger ones are giving up way too easily. Most people look at me funny or try to change my mind when I tell them I’m currently studying to become an English teacher; a high school educator, to boot. Time after time I hear: “Oh! Are you SURE you want to teach? I mean, in this day and age you’d be so disrespected and the kids are insane.” When as a matter of fact, those same reasons you wouldn’t be a part of the school system, are the reasons I will be.

Top 5 Ways to Make Money Online
Nowadays, it can be difficult to find a job: whether there are no openings for what you went to college for; your town's economy is low so there's few positions anywhere, or you just simply don't have the right credentials. Maybe, in some cases, people can't physically work due to disability or to take care of their kids or other responsibilities. I know in my recent experience that obtaining a traditional job is becoming more of a headache and cause for stress than anything else. I have searched far and wide and applied to every job listing that I qualified for, and even took a step further and tried for some that was a little far-fetched just so I could say I tried. I'm lucky enough that my husband has a well-paying job that supports us, but in all honesty, it's not enough. So today I'm here to tell you the top three ways that I've been making money without your usual 9-5 grind.

February Ipsy Glam Bag Review
Hi everyone! Thanks for coming back for another Ipsy review! For those who don't know, Ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription bag. You get five items based on a few questions, and all for a much lower price than if you were to buy it all yourself. They are sample/travel sizes, but it is only $10 a month. So you pretty much get what you pay for and more. Okay, review time!

January Ipsy Glam Bag Review
Hi everyone! So, I figured I would start doing monthly Ipsy reviews. For those of you who don't know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription bag for $10 a month. You get five beauty items based upon a small questionnaire you fill out when you sign up. I have been subscribed for a year now and I love it. I recommend it to everyone. You get all kinds of different products for a much smaller price than you would buying it on your own. Granted, they are sample/travel sizes, but still! When I got my first bag, my husband and I looked up the official prices for each item, and it came out to a little over $100. Talk about crazy savings! If you're interested in signing up, use my referral code to get started!

Why It's Important to Be Careful at the Gym
If you're a newbie to the gym, it can be kind of confusing. What machines do I use? How much weight is too much or too little? Am I doing this right? Is this working? And the questions go on. But I'm here today to tell you that if you're given the option, either hire a personal trainer or talk to one of the CERTIFIED people at the gym.
