I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I’m still just finding my voice and coming to believe that I can do this again. I like writing poetry and darker fiction. As well as some fan fictions!

Perfect Cracks
We live in a world that strives for Perfection. For an ideal form of beauty and flow. Even when we try to make things so accessible, there is a hidden truth to it all. We still judge constantly when someone doesn’t fit the bill. The employee that got all her work done in the morning, is suddenly lazy this afternoon because she’s just sitting there waiting for more work to come in. She may not be the manager but she really should strive for more if she wants to move up in the world. But the instant she burns herself out or freaks out over a little mistake. Everyone will tell her she is not a machine, she isn’t meant to be perfect all the time, and that she needs to be kinder to herself. After all the company takes pride in their mental health incentive, and we can’t have burn out can we? But the double edge sword of expectations always cuts deep.

It had been snowing all day, and I finally was allow outside. But only for twenty minutes. Because it was getting darker and the snow was still falling from the sky. Maybe just this once, I could breaking mum’s rule. I took one last look at the porch light that was flickering on. It was easy enough to see in the snow. And Miss Rose said that ever good explorer broke the rules sometimes.

Thoughts on Death
Today I wanted to try something a bit different in my writing. Though I have tried, I am not one for blog posting. I hardly think my life is entertaining enough, nor do I take the time to research and create an educational or entertainment based blog. I’ve fantasized having a blog about urban legends and spooky stories… but ultimately have crushed those dreams. But before I digress too much into the dreams of old, I should probably get to the point of this blog. And that would be death.
