Then, just prior to Christmas and without any warning he was let go. The official word was that his position no longer existed. He was issued a fair severance package, but being the gambling degenerate that he was, Randall figured he could secure his future at the tables and triple his money. The casino was unkind to Randall. Dynasty: A Batman Tale
NOW The Gotham Skyline was a magnificent view against both the early morning dawn and fading light of dusk. Commissioner Jim Gordon liked those times best. In fact, while other police commissioners preferred working in daylight, Gordon, the night owl, preferred the dark. That’s when he did his best work. The horizon was painted with sky-scrappers dressed in mirror windowed gowns reflecting the purple and pink hues melting from the darkness of space. In the distance, a fleet of Gotham Police helicopters were circling different areas of the city, shining spotlights up and down the alleyways that made up the labyrinth of Gotham.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale
NOW Spending her time in night clubs was by no means Harley’s idea of a good time. Having drinks with friends and picking up boys was not something Harley Quinn did. No, she would need to have friends for that. Mr. J was so much more than a friend. She would do anything for him, even if that included sitting at a table with other young girls who were dressed for attention from the opposite sex at club Freeze. The same place she had been coming to for the last week, lying in wait for her target. Dressed in what Harley considered an atrocious plaid mini-skirt and snug halter top, an outfit favoring many unwelcome looks from all the men in the room. She sat there among other young women clinking drinks with toasts and gossip, all of whom were quick with a quip about each guy walking by. If I have to listen to one more of these snooty bitches yap about being angry with their daddies for not paying all their bills quick enough, I might just slash all their throats. That would be so much nicer. Those would be smiles I could sit here with.

Dynasty: A Batman Tale
THEN At first the voices were distant and muffled. The world was shrouded in darkness. Feint images were slowly coming into focus. Shadows, at first appearing as a massive blanket of darkness, separating into two then four, until the black began to fade, shapes began to form and the cloudiness that filled her ears eased out as voices became clear. “Miss...Miss, Can you hear me?” said the voice. The girl replied with an agonizing scream, she began to convulse while the paramedics rolled her into the E.R. “Where did she come from?”, asked the Doctor desperately trying to get a hold of the situation.

The Telling
The Bible states that the Earth was created in six days, but we destroyed it in one. Granted, the Earth had been slowly suffocating over a millennia, but make no mistake it was the human element that spread like a virus. In the span of one thousand years the population of Earth swelled from less than fifty-million to ten-billion squandering through the planets natural resources. In the span of one-hundred years mankind evolved from the horse and buggy to interplanetary travel, but by the early twenty-first century, we had filled the atmosphere with toxic pollutants and poisoned the oceans with continents of plastics and waste. There were plenty of people who saw the trajectory we were on. They realized that we were going to be the cause of our own extinction. They tried to spread the word, they tried to save the planet, but so much damage had already been done.
