Shooting Stars & UFOs
My empty water glass glowed red in the light of the clock radio, which read 3:12 am. After multiple trips to the bathroom and three hours of staring at the ceiling, I was still awake. Blurred thoughts scurried through my mind at a pace that would not allow me to grasp a complete understanding . I could get the gist of them though: tomorrow, I would see my father for the first time in six years and I was worried.

Shades of Beige
I just wanted some cookies to go with my morning coffee. And Jason made such a big deal about the staff snacks that one of the office staff had brought in this morning, so I figured I might as well check it out. I had work to do though. I was going to sneak in, grab a couple cookies and head back to my desk.

Did Country Singer, Carly Pearce, Just Release A Song About Her Ex?
Carly Pearce is moving forward with her musical career! There's no doubt that she's talented and Chris Stapleton obviously agrees, or he wouldn't agreed to have been featured in her new song, "We Don't Fight Anymore."

In the Mind of an ADHD Writer
Some might not call me a “real” writer. I don’t write every day (although I’m always thinking about writing something). I don’t make a living off of my writing (although I do make money). And I’m certainly not on any best-seller lists. I don’t even have a huge social media following.

You Can Catch More Flies with Honey
I’ve spent about 15 years of my working life in the hospitality industry. I’ve worked both back of house (kitchen, dishwashing, prep) and front of house (serving). I love being a waitress though. Some say I am good at what I do. I say I am not the best waitress in the world — but even when I mess up you will usually be pretty happy with my service because I have a good attitude.

My Best Writing Tool Can't Even Access the Internet
What is your biggest complaint as an author? Is it the piddly sales? Maybe for a few of you but for most of us the money isn’t the reason we write, is it? Is it sitting for hours while you pour your heart out onto the pages? Not likely. We don’t even need readers because writing is something we do because we must — not for the fame and fortune?
