True Crime Podcasts You Have to Listen to
My girl friends and I were chatting about everything under the sun when we landed on true crime. Not a great idea once we all had to walk to our cars alone… totally creepy. But it was still so fascinating discussing the lesser known cases. Sad, too. Here’s a list of the best true crime podcasts to listen to on your daily commute or that long trip to the in-laws when the holidays roll around.

Behind The Scenes of ANEA HILL Hats
One thing about me is I love sharing anything ANEA HILL with my audience. It feels amazing to own a brand that I feel so passionate about and can stand behind 100%. From being high quality to sustainable, every product and operation has been thought out to the very last tiny detail. I have poured my heart into AH so it excites me when I get to share it with others. One of my favorite behind the scenes is the story of our hats. They are so versatile and have honestly become a year-round piece for me. These Californian inspired hats can be dressed up or down and worn everywhere.

An American's Italian Wedding Soup Recipe
This recipe is an American’s version of Italian Wedding Soup. The reason we call it “wedding soup” is because of the Italian phrase minestra maritata, meaning “married soup”. They say the flavors produce a marriage with the delicious blend of broth, meat and vegetables. A few ingredients that I give most attention to are the meatballs, orzo and cheese. Don’t get me wrong., all of the ingredients are important but these are some of the key flavors. Adding freshly grated parmesan is the final touch if you’re a cheese person! Cooking the orzo can be up to your own preference. Some prefer orzo more tough versus tender. I prefer using an extra virgin olive oil for all of my recipes, the flavor says it all. This soup makes a great weekday meal when you need comfort food or just a tasty dish. If Italian cooking is up your alley, then you’ve gotta try this other recipe.

How I Get Glowing Skin
I'm taking my skin to a whole new level this year! Sharing my tips and tricks on how I get glowing skin that have worked for me all these years. I am absolutely obsessed with the Cellfood oxygen mask and because it’s such a common step in my routine, I often forget to share with you. That and anything Skinceuticals is truly what makes my skin thrive. If for whatever reason I start to get lazy in my routine I can 100% tell. While Skinceutials is a little bit more on the expensive side there are two products I most recommend and can’t rave enough about. Hydrating and plumping are a make-or-break in creating the glowing skin look.

Bolognese Recipe
I so wish I could take full credit for this bolognese recipe but it really belongs to Giada De Laurentis, who I have to say is the master of Italian recipes. It’s because she has generations of recipes in her library. Giada uses the most amazing ingredients in her dishes. The way they work together is incredible. You’ll see. If you aren’t a fanatic for any of her shows, make sure to get her cook book. The colorful and flavorful recipes are endless. They’re great recipes for hosting. A great meal is just one part of the hosting equation, the other is decor. Check out my Vocal story on patio design for tips on how to host the perfect summer get-together.

The Most Amazing Smooth Mashed Potatoes
Let me start by telling you this mashed potato recipe is by no means on the healthy list. But once you have these, you’ll never be the same. This is how my grandma would make smooth mashed potatoes …she was a country cook. So, you know they are good. They pair so well with any meat or by itself with a spoon. My favorite part about making these is finding someone new to try them. The look on their face is the best reward. I may sound overly confident but I have full faith in these!

Prints on Prints on Celebrities
A long time battle of prints: do they go together or not? I personally have fun mixing patterns, prints and textures. If you’re unsure about pairing two bold pieces, try a print on bottom with a textured shirt on top. Hair scarfs, purses and shoes are also a subtle way to incorporate prints. This Tory Burch bag checks all of the boxes. I love it for summer. Mixing prints has been something I’ve done since I was a teenager! It’s always stayed in style. I purposely mix prints all of the time and I always get compliments on my outfit. There’s a sense of complexity and excitement in an outfit with more than one pattern. Sarah Jessica Parker is the queen of mixing prints. She’s done it best on SATC and her to-die for street style.

Outfit Guide for 4th of July
Holidays are flying by fast than ever. We are one week away from the 4th of July! The question is: do you have your outfits yet? Don’t worry, I have an outfit guide for you. It’s not too late to order. Once you nail down your plans, it’s all about what you’re going to wear. As trends predict, this year is all about dressing to the nines. I’m totally down for that, by the way. I live by the saying “it’s better to be too dressed up than to be dressed down”. Gatherings and holidays give us a reason to dress up and spend a little extra time getting ready. Even if you’re “roughing it” this year, this holiday is still a great opportunity to dress nice and have an outfit that impresses.

I’ve always kept my makeup routine simple, yet efficient, and I’m excited to share the best products to get the refreshed look. I think Hailey Bieber deserves a round of applause for sporting the clean girl look so well. There’s something about a tight bun and glowy skin that makes you feel on top of the world. Without wasting any time, let’s get the best products in your hands. Refresh this summer with a new routine!

Summer Bruschetta Recipe
As we just celebrated the summer solstice, I've been perfecting all of my hot weather recipes. I'm all about those easy snack and side dish recipes lately. Today, I have perfected my summer bruschetta recipe. When I tell you that this recipe has me day dreaming the hour before lunch... it's so good. I make this at every convenience and you'll see why. The flavors come together so well and create this impeccable melody of fruits (tomatoes are fruits) and white balsamic vinegar. There is something about fruits and the tartness of vinegar that works so well. The colors of this bruschetta are also excellent for hosting on patriotic holidays with the red, white and blue theme. Though it wasn't intentional, I'm not mad about it.
