A THING BEYOND AND FOREVER

the moment I wanted to encapsulate in the entirety of time.

A THING BEYOND AND FOREVER—the moment I wanted to encapsulate in the entirety of time.

Announced in a debacle by the trumpets of the sky,

Out of the bosom of thin air

Descends the snow,

Silent, gentle and slow.

Even the clouds know,

The heaviness of remembering,

In white countenance whispers,

When nobody listens to it,

Pours down to keep it sane,

Sheds the heaviness of his heart,

It cries, it rains.

The troubled cloud reveals,

The melancholy it feels.

The poem is about the promise of tomorrow,

Where the sun promises the moon.

To accompany it in its every sorrow.

Even the clouds fancy the moon,

But the moon admires the sun shining in the zenith at noon.

She writes her lover a note with a lighting zeal,

The little things make the troubled heart doth the deal.

Alas, the sun has promises to keep,

And it has miles to go before it sleeps.

The moon smiles at the night,

The flower sings its heart to the moon and sees its plight.

And also sees the sun burning in despair in its light.

The moon adorns herself in the moonlight,

To hide its scars.

And silently yearns in her heart,

I wish the sun was not a mighty being and just an ordinary star.

Slowly in silent syllables recorded,

They burry the secrets of their love under their promises to keep,

And maybe after the days shine and the nights befall,

They kiss the promises of forever,

Under the waters of sleep.

FROZEN IN THE SANDS OF TIME,

THE MOMENT THAT MADE MY HEART CHIME.

IN THE WETLANDS OF THE ANCIENT CITY,

WE STOOD LAUGHING AND JUMPING WITH FELICITY

Life is like a book, where each chapter brings lessons to learn. Our story is filled with pages of glory, sadness, love, laughter, fear, dreams, and regret. The book was written by us and by the almighty himself. We meet people who share this journey of life, some only until the start of a new chapter, some are temporary, and some are forever. We all have bad days where we would not like to share the story aloud. But don’t you think that is life—the saga of events tied together to constitute the very existence of a human being? We are all unique individuals wired with different souls, but one thing that unites us in one bond is our need for fulfillment. Humans seek solace in certainty. Whenever the book turns to a page of uncertainty, we tend to get uncomfortable. But the very place of discomfort brings out our best versions.

There was a time in my life when I felt this discomfort. The plot of my story wasn’t going the way I wanted. I felt weak. There was darkness all around. But the dream to achieve something was persistent. The dark sands of time turned into the light of benevolence. We were in Switzerland, and the phone rang. My mother jumped ecstatically, and I got frightened. She embraced me in her bosom and told me that I had achieved 91% on your boards. My heart skipped a beat, crying tears of joy. I felt eternity was smiling at us that day. I saw myself through the eyes of my mother and father; the pride in their eyes gave me eternal content. I wished for the moment to last for something beyond forever.
