Things you should be proud of

Less insecurity and more confidence in yourself

By Hridya SharmaPublished 3 days ago 3 min read

The journey we stride upon pivots around the focal point of believing in ourselves. We do not need to know everything and have it all figured out. The only thing that we need is the belief that no matter what life throws our way, we will be able to handle it with grace, courage and confidence. For the ones who have recently entered their adulthood, we live in the paradigms of uncertainty, societal pressure, of not knowing what we want out of what we have. The voices of self-doubt and anxiety loom over us, telling us we are not enough. But I hope you remind yourself that you are worthy of your wildest passions and truest desires. Everything that you yearn for will seek you when the time is right.

Kuch aisa karke dikha ki khud khush ho jaye khuda

This is a line from one of my favorite songs, where the songwriter urges us to take a leap of faith and go forward with our dreams . The line essentially means to work hard for your dreams and hold on tight to your faith. Faith keeps us going, it is an invisible force that is the only truth that triumphs. Well, faith was the catalyst that kept me going in my darkest times and gave me sparkling moments of hope. But this time I want to express my thoughts differently, in a more vulnerable manner. Life is not always about moments of pride, it is not always that you are in the spotlight or the knight in shining armor. Sometimes life is all about dejection, sadness anxiety, depression, pain, and overwhelming moments

A person needs to go through all of this to realize the true worth of self. You need to believe in yourself so that others can believe in your power. Life oh I wish was as picturesque as a fairytale, but actually, life is more of a wild adventure. The one that teaches you its lessons the harsh way. And while learning those lessons. It is okay to not do things the way people expected you to do, it is okay to be vulnerable when you need to be. It is okay to not live exactly the way you expected to. In this moment, you are not what you were, you are not what you will be, you are an entirety in the space you exist now. Life will unfold itself in every step you march towards your goals, all you need to win is today.

Things you should be proud of

1)Not choosing to explain yourself when all they did was mistreat and misunderstand you

2)Walking away from drama with grace

3)Finding peace in the simplicity and mundanity of life

4)Embracing the joy in you

5)Drawing joy in the solitude of the evening

6)Your flaws and how they make you flawesome

7)How you silence the storms that echo in your mind with hailing endearment.

8)How do you handle the silent battles you fought.

9)The small steps you are taking towards your growth

10)How much you have evolved and grown in the past year?!

11)How you chose to heal instead of bleeding the people who did not cut you.

12)The way you love people who are your tribe.

13)How fearlessly you work on the things you are truly passionate about.

14)How you are working towards your goals every single day

15)How you chose to get up and work even on the days when your trauma overbears your gratitude.

Life is its exemplar that exists in the beauty of today,

Behold your head with pride and let the belief of yourself lead the way

Best
