Trump Assassination Attempt Foiled By Courage and The Miraculous

We Must Tune Down The Hate

By Jason APublished about a month ago 3 min read

One July 13, in the small town of Butler, Pennsylvania, we witnesses terrible moment in American history that could have been even worse. What how can be clearly called an attempt on the life of Donald Trump, former president of the United Sates and current candidate for that office, is a chilling notion at it’s very core. But, as sad of a question as it may be, should we really be surprised?

With nearly a decade of anti-Trump propaganda from a frequently bias mainstream media and big social media platforms, a disgusting level of hatred has been directed toward this man.

Celebrities and politicians have fueled the hatred through words of violence and even out attempts to incite it.

Johnny Depp famously said asked : “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Then followed it up by saying “I want to clarify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it has been a while and maybe it is time.” Madonna talked about blowing up the White House. Kathy Griffin, a so-called comedian, posed with what was supposed to be depiction of the bloody head of Trump severed from his body. Snoop Dog had a music video in which he is shown pointing a gun at the President Trump and pulling a trigger.

California Representative Maxine Waters incited violence against Trump and his supporters on several occasions, most notably to a crowd in Los Angeles in 2018 and again is June 2024 suggesting his supporters are “domestic terrorists.” President Biden himself recently said “it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.”

With public school districts and teaching unions across the country spewing disdain for Trump, infecting the minds of our most impressionable members of society, it’s no shock that eventually some less than stable individual would take action.

However, despite all of this, there is reason to have hope. After what I am going to describe as the forces of evil tried to snuff out the life of the former president, something amazing happened.

While so many have called Trump a coward, his instincts and reaction to being shot where anything but cowardly. In a truly courageous act, he got up and made sure to show his supporters that he was alright. He pumped his fist into the air in what will likely become one of the iconic images in American history. Almost instantly, the crowd began chanting “USA, USA, USA,” proving their true dedication to our country even in the face of danger.

It’s also wonderful to know that while there are still those regurgitating hate, some have seemed to have woken up, at least temporarily, to the need to tone down the harmful and irresponsible rhetoric that has been characterizing our political environment for at least a couple of decades.

Most importantly in my opinion we have learned that the shot was only taken from a medium range and that most experts agree that anyone with a decent shooting skill set could have easily made the kill shot. Some have described the fact that the gunman missed what would have been a deadly blow by less than a few millimeters as nothing short of miraculous.

If this is indeed true, which I now personally believe it to be; miracles come from one source and one source alone, the divine. As was said by one commentator, it is like a reference to the Biblical notion emphasized in Ephesians Chapter 6 which refers to the protection of the “Armor of God.”

I truly believe Trump survived for a reason and a purpose and we must respect that.

As much as I am tired of this man and do not like him I must agree with you. Also there is too much hate in this world so I would never wish anything bad for Trump and I am glad he is all right,
