RFK Jr. All we need to know

Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., has entered the race for President of the United States. Let's take a look at the man who will rival Donald Trump and Joe Biden. He was born on January 17, 1954, and is an American environmental attorney, author, and activist. He is the son of Robert F. Kennedy Sr. and Ethel Kennedy and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy Sr. Here are some key points about his life and career:

Early Life and Education:

He was born in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Harvard University in 1976. Kennedy earned a law degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Laws from Pace University.

Legal and Environmental Work:

Kennedy is well known for his work as an environmental lawyer and advocate. He served as a senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and worked on numerous cases involving pollution and environmental protection. He is the co-founder and president of the Waterkeeper Alliance, an environmental group focused on protecting waterways.

Writing and Publications:

Robert Jr, has authored several books on environmental issues, including "Crimes Against Nature" and "The Riverkeepers" and written extensively about environmental law and policy.

Advocacy and Controversies:

Kennedy Jr. has been a strong advocate for children's health and vaccine safety, though his views on vaccines have been highly controversial and criticized by many in the scientific and medical communities. He has been vocal about various environmental and public health issues, sometimes drawing controversy for his positions and statements.

Political Involvement:

Kennedy continues to be active in politics, supporting various Democratic candidates and causes. He has been considered a potential political candidate himself at various times, reflecting the Kennedy family's long-standing involvement in American politics. He was expected to enter the prsidential race years ago but has not until now.

Kennedy's personal Life:

RFK Jr., has been married three times and has six children. His personal tragedies, include the loss of his father and uncle to assassination, and his wife Mary Richardson Kennedy's death in 2012.

Recent Activities and presidential bid

Kenndey continues to be active in environmental advocacy and public health debates. He has taken strong positions on issues like government transparency and corporate accountability.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has launched an independent presidential campaign. His decision to run independently stems from dissatisfaction with both major party nominees, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump which echoes the sentiments of some Americans. Recent polling indicates that Kennedy could be the most formidable independent candidate since Ross Perot, drawing roughly equal support from both Biden and Trump.

His anti-vaccination stance may give him more room to attract Republican voters1. While Democrats aren’t enthusiastic about Biden’s campaign, Kennedy likely won’t pull them away significantly. Ultimately, his independent bid could impact the 2024 race, potentially hurting Trump. Kennedy’s campaign is backed by a super PAC, American Values 2024, which already has substantial funding.

What does the future hold?

If he maintains his current polling numbers, he could qualify for debates, playing a significant role in the 2024 election. He declared his “independence from the Democratic Party” which his family has been a aprt of for decades. His goal is to heal the political divide. Longtime environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist, Kennedy will likely face off against Biden and the Trump.

It's not known how the recent assassination attempt on Trump will affect Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s presidential bid. In the wake of the shooting, President Joe Biden has ordered extra security for Kennedy, which is wise.
