Among all of the best military movies, Hulu has a great selection to choose from. Digging deep into the stars, the reviews, and the selection, these are the 10 best military movies on Hulu.

From 13 Hours to Tunnel Rats, we're sure you haven't seen every one of these. And if you want a day filled with intense battle, deep subject matters, and a whole lot of motivation, we've got you covered. These movies tell history's tales of heroes and villains.

To start off the best military movies on Hulu, I wanted to begin with a movie you wouldn't typically think to watch when it comes to war movies. As an animated film, you might overlook this. But I suggest you give it a chance.

Grave of the Firefliesfollows Seita, a teenage charger who cares for his younger sister, Setsuko. An American firebombing during World War II takes place, and the two children are separated from their parents. As a representation of the human cost of war, the survival story of these children is heartbreaking and real, as they begin relying only on each other.

13 Hours, one of the best war movies streaming right now, takes place on September 11th of 2012 when Islamic militants attack the United States. This same day, in Benghazi, Libya, Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and the officer for the Foreign Service, Sean Smith are killed.

Only one mile away, James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, members of the Annex Security Team, are stationed and assigned to protect operatives and diplomats of the Libya city. As one of the best military movies, this movie is filled with combat, action, and victory.

Saints and Soldiers follows remaining survivors after the Nazi ambush brigade of Allied soldiers in Belgium. The survivors include Dacon, the sniper, played by Carbin Allred, and Pvt. Kendrick, played by Lawrence Bagby.

They take hiding in a forest nearby and meet a British intelligence officer, Oberon, who is stranded. He has time-sensitive information about the Allied effort and needs the soldiers help to return back into Allied territory safely. Also, if we're being honest, this is one of the military movies that deserve a sequel in 2018.

Tunnel Ratsis a suspense film about the Vietnam War while a special US combat unit is sent to hunt and kill Viet Cong soldiers. Displaying the man to man combat, the film is filled with action and intensity. The film follows the combat through endless tunnels underneath the jungle of Vietnam. An incredible movie to watch, if you're looking for a war movie, this is certainly one of the best on Hulu.

Among the military movies on Hulu, this might be one of the most underrated ones. And for this reason alone, we suggest giving it a watch.

Red Dawn is a film that takes place in an alternative history timeline. The United States is invaded by the Soviet Union. Specifically, the film follows a small Colorado town where two brothers, Jed and Matt, live. They escape to the forest with friends. Their father, Tom, is a prisoner of the invading army. They decided to fight against the Soviets.

Though this movie follows an alternative timeline, it is filled with American nationalism and pride. As the brothers come together to take back their town, the movie fills its viewers hears with compassion and power.

Another addition to the best military movies on Hulu is Battle Scars. After a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Luke Stephens appears at his brother's door. He is not only physically hurt, but emotionally, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

He wants to forget his tour and the war, but his father can't seem to let him. This isn't the end of trauma for Luke. He runs into Michelle at a strip club, and she leads him into an entirely different world of hell.

Hart's War follows Colin Farrell playing Tommy Hart, a lieutenant who is enlisted as an officer's aid in World War II. However, he is captured and imprisoned in a German prisoner of war camp. Colonel William McNamara assigns Tommy Hart to defend Lincoln Scott, who is a black POW accused of murdering another prisoner.

This is not your typical war movie, and is incredibly emotionally captivating. Without a dull moment present in the film, we're sure you'll get your fix for action and emotional attachment.

Strategic Air Command is one of the oldest military movies on Hulu. But it remains to be one of the most loved war movies to this day.

Following the US Air Force, a special bomber unit during the Cold War era recalls a professional baseball player. Due to his expert flying skills he acquired in World War II, the Air Force needs him. However, the baseball player and his wife are reluctant. Will they realize the importance of the mission he is needed for?

Home of the Brave is next among the best military movies on Hulu for many reasons. The film follows three soldiers who recently have completed their lengthy tour of duty in Iraq. Transitioning back into civilian life, the soldiers have a hard time readjusting, especially the soldier played by Samual L. Jackson, who is a doctor. His life seems to unravel after returning home, including his job and marriage.

This film portrays the realities of post-war life that soldiers suffer from. As an honest and real movie that shines the light on PTSD and life at home, I strongly recommend this film to any veteran.

To conclude the best military movies on Hulu, we couldn't forget to mention Emperor as one of the best war movies of all time. Though the concept of this film is very dark, we're sure you know what you're getting into when it comes to military movies.

This film follows a Japanese surrender at the end of WWII. General Bonner Fellers, played by Matthew Fox, has a grueling determination to consider, whether Hirohito should be hanged as a war criminal or not. Which do you think he will decide?
