Driving with Pride!
I worked as a Lyft Driver for 3 years. My first year I marched with Lyft in the Pride Parade and met all kinds of fabulous along the entire route then spent the rest of the day giving rides to people heading to the Pride Festival. It was one of my most memorable days ever. The day passed in a blur of color and singing and love. The most fun moment was taking a young man to a local bar to meet his friends who were waiting there with signs and balloons and flowers to celebrate his Coming Out and his 21st birthday. The most poignant moment was driving a woman past her sister who was standing with protesters at the entrance holding a sign that read, "Jesus Hates You". We had a long wait to get to the drop off point so I handed her tissues, held her hand for a minute and let her sit in the car long enough to fix her make up. I wish I could have done more.

The Proudest Playlist
It's pride month and I couldn't be happier... or prouder. After a year which has on a global level changed our lives and perspectives, it has never been more important to come together as one and celebrate and hug our friends and family, spend time with them, re-connect.

Songs Of Pride Your Mum Will Love
The time of year to celebrate our inner queens has finally come around again. With lockdown in England coming to an end the same month as pride it is cause for being more than just extra. We can finally see our fellow LGBTQIA+ and it definitely calls for a celebration. I compiled a list of lesbian/queer musicians who I feel are not as recognised as they should be.

Sweet Freedom
1975 was the year I turned 15, and this song was the one that really brought it home to me--some people made difficult choices. Choices that meant conformity, not happiness. Choices that meant hiding under a bushel instead of letting their true light shine.

Where My Journey Toward Pride Began
I’m just 1 person on a constantly evolving journey toward pride. I could fill a book with the search for myself, though by the time I finished the book, I likely would have discovered new things about myself I would want to include. My understanding of my gender and sexuality grows as more terms are defined and as I explore who I really am. It has taken me years to find myself on the asexuality and genderqueer spectrums and to be open and proud of those parts of me. I can’t fit it all into one article, so I thought I would discuss how my journey began.

Playing for PRIDE
I always think that playlists are a little lazy, this is because of my age and I remember doing cassettes for friends and girlfriends to share the music that mattered and obviously these had to be put together in real time and could only really be shared with one person , or put on at a party. You could also do a tape for the car , so any passengers would be treated to your musical taste (or lack of).
