YOUR PIANO

Surreal, Reflections

By Wendy - Empathic TigressPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

YOUR PIANO

Your piano eats my sorrow,

I crash and burn upon her keys

Her blues have spoken to my soul,

And once again, I'm on my knees

Lament and trauma echo,

As thunder lingers on the breeze.

Wild seas and rainbow's

Become my borrowed peace...

Violence breathes the putrid air,

Of premeditated death

The wealthy bask in greed’s embrace,

To suckle on the greenback’s breast.

My pretty, pretty, piano,

How I hunger for your sound.

In the dark, my quill conspires,

With my aching heart, unbound

My muse waits in the shadows,

She’s the only voice I trust.

Composing words of endless joy,

I paint the prose, I must...
