Why Do We Celebrate Valentine's Day?
Sweets-Treats-Love Letters To
Valentine was a martyr who was celebrated all around.
His love and kindness were spread from town to town.
Years ago, as I was told.
Kindness and love that he unfold,
Was a tradition to share.
Love notes, candy and flowers beyond compare.
On a special day, for all to be.
Loving and caring for all they see.
Sweet treats of chocolate and candy too.
For loved ones and others, you never knew.
The 14th, of February, was the date,
They chose for all to celebrate,
So for Valentine the martyr they baked him a cake.
For his love for others, we continue to celebrate.
Tiny notes of kindness and heart shape too.
Spread around to others, is a kind thing to do.
So as we celebrate this special day.
Think about Valentine's, and how you can spread love in a certain way.
It doesn't have to be big, or even small.
LOVE can be spread with a word or a call.
Giving to those who have less.
Knowing in your heart, how you are blessed.
Life is a gift, celebrate you.
Love is a treasure, especially in all we do.
