Whispers of the broken soul.

Fragments of Hope Amidst Brokenness

By Trista HarrisonPublished 11 months ago Updated 11 months ago 1 min read

A poem I wrote for a friend who was having a bad day.

Nowhere to run, no end in sight,

Everything's crashing down like the falls of night.

Alone and afraid, I hold on tight,

On this bed I made, I try as I might.

To escape this hell, torturing my mind,

Isn’t this swell? You’re too kind.

You try to help this broken soul,

While I lay and whelp over this heavy toll.

You’re nice and sweet, innocent and pure,

Like an angel I'd like to meet, you do so much, yet still do more
