Whisper of Love

Summer's Dance

By Cindy CalderPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Alas but how my love for thee did grow

Upon the breast of summer’s mist and heat

Within the heart of me as if I did always know

‘Twas with your presence you did my soul complete.

‘Tis no other who can fill the summer days

With lingering songs of tenderness, truth, and beauty

As you, my love, have done for me in all ways

My love, my life, my heart - you are those most truly.

Sing to me a song as we dance beneath the sun

And I will whisper of things you long to hear

Until the moment we are spent and our dance is done

And toward eternal bliss we shall eagerly steer.

Oh, sweet blossom of summer youth and love so dear

Keep me eternally in your sight and always near.
