Where Are The Knights?

A Missing Fairy Tale

By Leona ValentinePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Where Are The Knights?

Dreaming of a prince.

Looking up at the stars.

She is opened for love.

Always following her heart.

But the world is no fairy tale.

The souls can deceive.

He can smile at her endlessly,

But no romance to believe.

She gives so much.

Always trying to impress.

Searching for happiness.

Always wanting the best.

The attraction is there.

Sharing the same pastimes.

The intimacy is perfect,

But still no Valentine.

After he charmed with kindness,

Their bodies touched secretly.

Then, he becomes a ghost

After getting what he fancies.

Our modern world is so different.

In a painful way, he roams.

True love becomes a fiction.

No prince to call her own.

Like a rubber band, there is a pattern.

Communication becomes hot and cold.

Even the friendship is questionable.

Intimate benefits are getting old.

He always uses his shield,

But tends to misuse the sword.

Is it the baggage that he carries?

Or the fear that he hoards?

She sees the parallels in all of them.

The ones she touched in the past.

Will she ever become a Queen

If the repeated heartbreak lasts?

Can they become better versions?

Are they really happy in life?

How can they become Kings

If they do not know how to be Knights?
