When You've Done All You Can

Now Let It Go

By Sarah DanielPublished 8 days ago 1 min read

Your hands, they’re trembling. Sweaty. Almost like they were dipped in water. Your knees, unable to hold the weight. And your eyes, begging to be understood. You’re deteriorating, close to dust, close to smoke.

You shook your head, unable to utter the right words, unable to utter anything at all. It’s like aphasia, and everyone just seems so difficult to read on your end. You’re clouded with self-blame from trying to save something that’s too far gone.

How long are you going to punish yourself for something that wasn’t even your fault? Stop robbing yourself of liberty over the things that you cannot control. There are so many good things waiting for you, so many people to meet, so many dreams to start and finish.

Your emotions matter. You matter. But right now, the only thing that needs saving is you. Listen to me, it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t your fault. Untangle yourself from this deception, you don’t need this.

I am so proud of you, truly. But you cannot lose yourself. Not this time or any time for that matter. You cannot lose yourself anymore. You did everything you could. Let it go.
