Unapologetically in Character

Life’s a movie.

I live inside of a Disney musical.

I sing until my voice cracks.

It always seems to do that

At the climax of the song—

But that’s the cost of being a smoker.

I regret nothing cause at least I’m not

Broker than I was before.

I can’t ignore the theatre in my mind.

The dancing and singing…

Runs chills down my spine.

Playing a new character each time—

Stepping into the life of another.

Just for a moment…

Showcasing the point of view of others.

On stage, embodying someone else—

Creating a brand new me.

I live in a musical that never ends.

I belong on stage…

Here I transcend.

Oh yes, I relate to this so much. I have always loved Disney songs and movies.

Yes, I could turn any situation into a musical! We can never forget, we’re all still children deep down inside. Sing, dance, play, life is far too short to do anything otherwise.
