Remember the winter wonderland magic?
Barely- remember what it felt like?
Everywhere you go smelling like gingerbread, cinnamon, hot cocoa, and pine or all of the above?
Going for a drive through the neighbourhood on a school night, and our faces lit up from all of the bright lights decorating houses. Seeing all the decorations people have on their lawns.
Going downtown for Apple cider and horse carriage rides through Central Park with blankets across our laps.
The Christmas magic on counting days till Santa Clause comes.
Watching a snowstorm rolling on Christmas Eve with a big hot cup of cocoa.
Waking up on Christmas and seeing the snow stay on the ground- your mom yelling out a jacket on while you barely get your boots on while you rush out the door into the snow.
The neighbourhood kids join in to build snowmen and snow angels.
I feel like this is too magical to be real…
Or am I too old for magical things to happen?
